FEBRUARY
February 13 – Pennniesoflove.org. The public is invited to our 1st fundraiser of the year. There will be great works of art as well as a wonderful auction with items donated by local businesses and a special oil painting signed by UT Football Coach, Mack Brown. There will be fun for all ages. Come meet 10 year old Brianna and hear her plan for Pennies Of Love for 2010. We hope to see you all at this special event. Details: http://www.penniesoflove.org
February 13 – “I Art Boobies” charity fundraiser. Supporting the Breast Cancer Resource Center, “I Art Boobies” will include Human Art Installations,Video Installation, a live collaborated painting with the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls and Burlesque Performances from Savonne the Minx, Ilsa the Wolf and Iris the Artiste. The show will begin at 7:00pm with performances beginning at 9pm. Admission is $12 and includes Raspberry Cosmos and Cupcakes.
February 14 – Central Texas SPCA . Enjoy a delightful champagne brunch and silent auction in an elegant setting this Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14, benefiting the Central Texas SPCA. Details:http://www.CentralTexasSPCA.org
February 27 – CASA of Travis County . This elegant evening will feature casino games, live and silent auctions, live music by Jabarvy and a delicious dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel. February 20 – Travis County Medical Alliance. A very relaxed Gala will be held at the beautiful, yet rustic University of Texas Golf Club on Saturday, February 20, 2010. February 27 – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Austin and Central Texas. Bandana Ball – WE KNOW HOW TO THROW A PARTY, Y’ALL! There’ll be a mechanical bull, room for dancing,scrumptious food and tasty drinks for all you Urban Cowboys. Our auction will knock your boots off too! February 28 – American Cancer Society . Event at Submerged to help raise funds for American Cancer Society. All donations and monies raised will be donated to charity. Details: sdunson101@gmail.com

March 5 – Austin Cosmopolitan Rotary Club. ACRC’s 3rd Annual Casino Night will be held at The Bob Bullock Museum in the heart of central Austin. The evening offers a full “Vegas” experience for our guests, including playing chips for various casino games, live local music and an abundant silent auction, as well as exciting raffles and choice continental catering. March 28 – Austin Dog Rescue and Lofty Dog Present Spring Fling 2010. 12:30-4 PM
Republic Square Park (5th and Guadalupe). Join us for a truly festive spring celebration. Enjoy the day at the newly-renovated Republic Square Park while your pup hunts for eggs, struts their stuff on stage in the Lofty Dog Fashound Show, poses for photos in our pooch-friendly photo booth by Annie Ray and shops for that special something from one of our local vendors. APRIL
April 5 – Yappy Hour Austin Humane Society. This is a fundraiser for the Austin Humane Society. The fundraiser is from 6-8 pm on April 5th. Please come to this event and lets show the Humane society we care. It is only 5 dollars at the door and we will have some raffle prizes also. You can bring your dog too! April 10 – Z-Man Recon Challenge. Hosted by the University of Texas Naval ROTC Battalion, the Zimmerman Recon Challenge is a grueling nine mile, multi-sport competition that pushes participants to the edge of their physical limits. This ain’t your grandma’s race. Athletes will have to demonstrate superior strength and endurance as they navigate this seven event course. This competition is open to the public, and all members of the community are invited to participate. April 10 – Down Home Ranch RoundUp 2010. You’re cordially invited to the 2010 Ranch RoundUp, benefitting Down Home Ranch. We’ll be swinging on the links and swinging under the stars as we dance the night away. RoundUp golf tournament is on April 9th. Star-studded gala is April 10th. We’ll have a silent auction with the best stuff ever, and a live auction that will dazzle you, as auctioneer Gayle Stallings takes the floor, auctioning great items, like five nights at the Ritz-Carlton, Aspen Highlands, Colorado. April 10 – “WONDER BALL” DADDY/DAUGHTER DANCE. Wonders & Worries, an Austin-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping children cope when parents or adult family members are fighting chronic or life-threatening illnesses, has announced its annual Wonder Ball daddy/daughter dance fundraiser April 10, 2010, from 6-9 p.m., at the Palmer Events Center. This year’s event features a “fairy tale” theme. April 24- The Arthritis Walk® is the Arthritis Foundation’s annual nationwide signature event that raises funds and awareness to fight arthritis, the nation’s most common cause of disability. The Arthritis Walk® kicks off in May during National Arthritis Month in more than 300 communities nationwide to fund arthritis research, health education and government advocacy initiatives. April 29 – A Toast To Awareness. Wine Tasting and Silent Auction Benefiting Angelheart Children’s Shelter Thursday, April 29, 2010 6:30-8:30 P.M. In support of April Child Abuse Prevention Month and benefiting Angelheart Children’s Shelter, an emergency shelter in Travis County for abused and neglected children. May 15 – LLS 2010 Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale Celebration. Leukemia & Lymphoma of Central Texas’ Grand Finale celebration honoring the candidates for Man & Woman of the Year along with the Boy & Girl of the Year.
